Placentia CERT Meeting, July 10, 2019

(Community Emergency Response Team)

Hi Everyone,

Many people have been asking, “When is Placentia going to start an active CERT program?” Well, that time has officially come, and we need your to help to connect members of your community to the Placentia CERT program!

In the past, the city has trained hundreds of community members, and now we would like to connect everyone to help develop resilient neighborhoods throughout our great city! The City has set a goal of connecting 2,000 City of Placentia residents and community partners with our CERT and Emergency Services Program! To meet this goal, the Placentia Emergency Services Division is proud to invite everyone to our first, Welcome to Placentia CERT Meeting! The 3 goals of this meeting are to introduce CERT trained and untrained members of the community to the redeveloped CERT program, connect members of the community with other trained CERT members, and let everyone know of the future of the City’s program!

This meeting is not only for CERT trained members, but this event will serve as a great opportunity to share the benefits of the Placentia CERT program with your friends, neighbors, and family members!  Additionally, this is great meeting for members of the community to learn about the CERT Program prior to signing up for the full course! During our formal CERT course, the instructors demonstrate to the community that the best CERT teams start with basic community communication and Neighbor-to-Neighbor interactions, and this is that opportunity!

If you are interested in attending the upcoming meeting, please contact the Placentia Emergency Services Division via one of the following ways, “like” our Placentia CERT event on Facebook – @PlacentiaPD , call us at (714) 993-8176, or e-mail us at Storrence@placentia.org.

The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10th , 7pm to 8:30pm – City of Placentia City Hall.  401 E. Chapman Ave. Placentia.
