Yorba Linda Cultural Arts Center

Comedy of Errors

  • Presented by Alchemy Theater Company and the Yorba Linda Cultural Arts Center.
  • Friday, July 11 through Sunday, July 27, 2025
  • Shows will be performed in front of the events lawn.  Tickets are required to attend. (We pid $20 per ticket).  Bring a lawn chair, preferably light weight and maybe a folding chair to make your trip from car to the lawn easy.   Quite a few people bring blankets to lay on in front of the people sitting in chairs (great place for small children).
  • Tickets available starting May 11 at Purplepass.com/YLComedyofErrors.

This theatre production takes place behind the Yorba Linda Cultural Arts Center which is next door to the Yorba Linda Library.

There is enough parking behind the Cultural Arts Center.  The library next door will still be open these hours shown below which might coincide with the production:

Monday 9AM – 8PM
Tuesday 9AM – 8PM
Wednesday 9AM – 8PM
Thursday 9AM- 8PM
Friday 9AM-5PM
Saturday 9AM – 5PM
Sunday CLOSED
The reason we show the library hours is people will be coming and going possibly during the theatre production, some distance to your left, as you view the production.  This should not be any distraction.  We only notify you for your information.

Rest rooms are inside the Culture Arts Center, a rather large building that sits right behind the performance.   If you notice the library is open before 8pm they offer bathrooms.

The actors go in and out of the Cultural Arts  building as part of the production.  It is quite interesting to see the actors, if you sit to the left or right of the front of the sage, coming out of the side of the building acting all the way to and from the stage front.

The actors project their voices quite well and each actor wears a “hidden” microphone and their audio also comes from behind you as you watch the play.

I found that I could not understand what was going on because I failed to read a description of the play beforehand!  Also, I wear hearing aids and found that they really messed listening because I think they delayed what I was hearing and that messed up what my natural hearing provided to me!

The major point I wish to tell you was the acting was dam good!

My wife and I attended and really enjoyed the play.  The play takes place outside so if you attend, check the weather and consider bringing something warm to wear as there is often a strong breeze.  The breeze can be quote cool.  You have to provide your own chairs.  Closer to the stage area, people should lay down some blanket or other protection because everyone in the audience must position themselves on the rather vast lawn behind the Cultural Arts Center.

Suggestion:  The play was difficult to follow.  I recommend that you FIRST read an explanation so you get ahead of what takes place!  There are a lot of website explanations.  Let me suggest one for you: https://www.sparknotes.com/shakespeare/errors/summary/
